FRAGILE

On the occasion of Maurizio Cattelan’s “Breath Ghosts Blind” exhibition, Pirelli HangarBicocca, in collaboration with Threes Productions, presents FRAGILE, a series of musical events that accompany the show with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi and the Ensemble Strumentale e Vocale laBarocca conducted by Ruben Jais. 

FRAGILE is an immersive experience within the exhibition, consisting of three acts — one for each of the three works on display — conceived and created together with the artist.

The musical journey, repeated twice during the evening (at 8 PM and 9.30 PM), retraces the cycle of life, from birth to death, symbolically represented by the human voices of the choir and by their gradual disappearance as the three acts unfold. At the same time, FRAGILE follows the evolution of modern Western culture from its beginnings to its rupture, with pieces that review the history of music from 1500 to 1700 and through to 1900. This groundbreaking musical work is designed for an intimate listening experience in the spaces of Pirelli HangarBicocca.
