La Carità e la Bellezza
The Christmas exhibition returns to Sala Alessi, “La Carità e la Bellezza” features 14th-15th century works by Beato Angelico, Sandro Botticelli, Filippo Lippi, and Tino Di Camaino from Florentine museums.
Thanks to the synergy between the cities of Milan and Florence, Palazzo Marino opens its doors during the holiday season with a special exhibition: four masterpieces of Florentine and Tuscan art, all created between the 14th and 15th centuries, will be set up in the magnificent Sala Alessi of Palazzo Marino immersed in a play of lights and textiles, and can be admired free of charge by Milanese and tourists.
The exhibition features the “Madonna con Bambino” painted by Sandro Botticelli and now housed in the Stibbert Museum in Florence; “L’adorazione dei Magi” by Beato Angelico, a precious tabernacle belonging to the Museum of San Marco; the “Madonna con Bambino” from Palazzo Medici Riccardi, created by Filippo Lippi; and “Carità,” a sculpture by the Sienese Tino di Camaino, from the Bardini Museum in Florence.
