Tania Bruguera “Let Truth Be, Though The World Perish”
PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea presents the first Italian solo exhibition by Tania Bruguera, an artist and activist whose performances and installations examine political power structures and the ways in which art can be applied to everyday political life.
Granted with many honours, including the Robert Rauschenberg Award, a Prince Claus Fund Laureate and a Guggenheim Fellowship, her work has been exhibited worldwide, including the Tate Turbine Hall Commission, the Venice Biennale and Documenta 11. Her work is also included in the collection of the Guggenheim Museum, MoMA, the Van Abbemuseum, Tate Modern, Museum für Moderne Kunst and the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes de La Habana.
The exhibition at PAC, curated by Diego Sileo, presents a selection of the most significant actions of the artist and new works conceived for the Pavillion.
Produced by Comune di Milano, PAC and Silvana Editoriale, the exhibition will move towards Colombia in summer 2020 thanks to the collaboration with the Museo de Arte Moderno de Bogotà (MAMBO).
