Damien Hirst: Superstition T-Shirt

This T-shirt was produced on the occasion of Damien Hirst: Superstition at Gagosian, Davies Street, London, and Gagosian, Beverly Hills. The exhibition featured intricate Kaleidoscope paintings, which reference the spiritual symbolism of the butterfly, used by the Greeks to depict Psyche, the soul, and in Christian imagery to signify the Resurrection. The butterfly is one of Hirst’s most enduring motifs, recurring in his work since the 1980s.
