Bar Basso in Milan is an international institution. But we knew that. What’s new is that the celebrated Milanese bar, famous for inventing the Negroni Sbagliato, a cocktail with vermouth, Campari, and Prosecco wine, is about to launch a line of clothing and lifestyle items.
Since its opening in 1947, Bar Basso has been a legendary venue and the mandatory meeting point for the local and international fashion, art and design communities.
Bar Basso is one of the very few cocktail bars where the tradition and charm of the great international bars are still alive. A place for connoisseurs who appreciate impeccable drinks served with class.

After years of drinking sbagliatos, Highsnobiety, a style magazine that has become popular with the proliferation of streetwear over the past decade, decided to produce a new collection of apparel, accessories, and lifestyle products to bring the spirit of the legendary Basso to an international audience.
The collection features hoodies, short and long sleeve t-shirts, and caps together with a range of barware including napkins, bottle openers, and the iconic giant cup.
“We have been visiting Milan for fashion week for years and Bar Basso has always been at the center of it all,” wrote Herbert Hoffmann, Director of ECommerce of Highsnobiety, in a note to the press. “It’s also the place to meet fun people, both from the industry and the more vibrant Milan. Their iconic drink, ‘Sbagliato’ is known worldwide and by telling this story and putting together the collection, we want to pay homage to the tradition and their extraordinary sense of hospitality,” he added.

To mark the occasion, Bar Basso will open a pop-up bar in Berlin during Reference Festival on April 29.
“I’m always attracted to new experiences and connections with new generations. That’s why I can’t wait to discover Ku’damm’s pop-up [bar] during Reference Festival…. and I absolutely love the collection!” commented Maurizio Stocchetto, owner of Bar Basso.
The Bar Basso collection for Highsnobiety will drop on April 27.
