Gianni Politi (Rome, Italy, 1986). He lives and works in Rome. His expressive medium is painting. For the realization of his works Politi has elaborated a general idea, which he himself defines as a process of “reuse of materials” in which, in addition to a calculated planning, also random events that occur in the phase of the work in the studio come into play. Decisive in this sense is the fact that the visual elements used in his images consist of residues that Politi obtains by breaking or cutting up previously painted canvases.
Gianni Politi (Roma, Italia, 1986). Vive e lavora a Roma. Il suo mezzo espressivo è la pittura. Per la realizzazione delle sue opere Politi ha elaborato un’idea generale, che egli stesso definisce come un processo di “riutilizzo di materiali” in cui, accanto a una pianificazione calcolata, entrano in gioco anche eventi casuali che si producono nella fase del lavoro in studio. Decisivo in questo senso è il fatto che gli elementi visivi utilizzati nelle sue immagini consistono in residui che Politi ottiene spezzettando o tagliuzzando tele dipinte in precedenza.
