Sissi (Bologna, Italy, 1977). Daniela Olivieri, known as Sissi, lives and works between Bologna and London. Her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in major galleries and museums in Italy and internationally, including the Chelsea Art Museum and the Brooklyn Museum in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami and Tate Modern in London. In 2002 she won the Premio Querini Stampalia “Furla per l’Arte” and in 2005 the New York Award, established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Institute of Culture in New York and the Italian Academy at Columbia University. Sissi works with sculpture, drawing and performance, creating installations and site-specific projects.

I suoi lavori sono stati esposti in numerose mostre personali e collettive nelle maggiori gallerie e musei, in Italia ed all’estero, come il Chelsea Art Museum e il Brooklyn Museum di New York, il Museum of Contemporary Art di Miami e la Tate Modern di Londra. Nel 2002 ha vinto il Premio Querini Stampalia “Furla per l’Arte” e nel 2005 il Premio New York, istituito dal Ministero degli Esteri, dall’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di New York e da Italian Academy a Columbia University. Sissi lavora con la scultura, il disegno e la performance, creando installazioni e progetti site-specific.
